The pilot project, to implement flexible office hours for public servants in state entities in Battaramulla, will get underway from today (18).

The project aims at easing the traffic congestion in the area.

Under this initiative public servants will be permitted to report to work between 7.30am to 9.15am.

Then they can leave the office between 3.15pm to 5.30pm after covering their stipulated working hours.

However, the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, J. J. Ratnasiri noted that all employees must remain in office between 9.15am and 3.15pm.
