It was presented by the Chairman of the Steering Committee, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

The Constitutional Assembly was presided over by Speaker Karu Jayasuriya at the Parliament chamber this morning.

Addressing the Constitutional Assembly, TNA leader and Opposition Leader R. Sampanthan said provisions should be granted under the new Constitution for devolution of power as pledged by the 13th amendment.
