The Meteorological Department says that the prevailing rainy condition in the South-Western part of the country will continue during the next few days as well.

It added that strong gusty winds can be expected over the surrounding sea areas of the island and also fairly strong gusty winds can be expected over the Northern, North-Central, North- Western and Central provinces and in Hambantota district.

Moreover, showers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern Provinces.

Fairly heavy showers of about 75-100mm can be expected in some places, particularly in the Southern province and Kalutara and Ratnapura districts.

Showers or thunder showers may occur at few places in the Uva province and in Ampara, Batticaloa and Vavuniya districts after 2pm.
