Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam has directed to cancel the IQ paper of the recently held open examination of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service.

The directive was issued to Commissioner General of Examinations, W. M. N. J. Pushpakumara today (28).

The competitive exam of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service has five papers.

After the examination was over, allegations emerged that few questions in the IQ paper have been taken from the past papers.

Then the Education Minister ordered the Commissioner General of Examinations to probe it and report to him.

The Minister has decided to cancel the paper based on the findings of that report.

The Minister has also instructed the authorities to remove the external panel intellectuals who prepared the paper from examination related activities.
