The study has also found Sri Lanka has 56 mothers who have more than 10 children and one mother with over 20 children.

The Director of National Secretariat for Elders, Suwinda Singappuli said that in 2 decades, more than 20% of the country's population will be elders.

He said they have submitted recommendations to face this challenge.
