The Supreme Court ordered today (03) to make oral submissions on 10th of October relating to a petition filed by MP Geetha Kumarasinghe.

MP Kumarasinghe has filed this petition against a Court of Appeal order, which ruled that she is not eligible to hold a Parliamentary seat as she was a dual citizen.

The petition was taken up for hearing before a 5-member Bench headed by Chief Justice Priyasath Dep.

The Bench had said that the verdict will be delivered on that day considering the submissions that would be presented on that day.
