Rains could bring dengue again, warn health authorities

Medical experts say that there is a high probability that the spread of dengue may increase this month due to the prevailing wet weather.

The Consultant Physician Dr Ananda Wijewickrama, noted that action should be taken to clean the surroundings to prevent creating of breeding places for vectors.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health noted that 157,133 dengue patients have reported in Sri Lanka so far this year.
