Wimal meets President, raises concerns on issues of national importance

The leader of the National Freedom Front, MP Wimal Weerawansa and a group of the party of members met President Maithripala Sirisena at his official residence in Colombo last evening (11).

During the meeting, a letter was handed over to the President requesting his attention to 3 issues of national importance.

The interim committee report on the new constitution, the process followed by the government when passing certain acts and the international need to divide Sri Lanka were the 3 main issues highlighted in the letter.

The delegation also informed the President about the aggressive insult being directed at the Maha Sangha.

State Minister Dilan Perera was also present at this occasion.
