Govt. to expand compensations to wild elephant attack victims

Minister of Wildlife and Sustainable Development Gamini Jayawickrama Perera says that the government has been decided to expand the method of providing compensation for the victims of wild elephant attacks.

He urged the villagers to get compensation for their losses without killing elephants.

The Minister said this after making an inspection visit to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
