Disaster Management Center warns the people living close to Kelani River bank to be vigilant as the water level in the river has been rising with heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Police said a fallen tree in Ravathawatte in Moratuwa has obstructed the lane towards Galle on the Colombo-Galle main road.

Police said steps are being taken to remove the tree.

The Police also urged the motorists to be careful when driving in Hatton-Nuwara Eliya and Hatton-Colombo roads due to mist and incessant rains.

Police said that earth mounds could collapse onto the road, due to wet weather.
