Turbulence in the Bay of Bengal remain for a further 48, water levels in Kalu, Gin, and Nilwala reach spill level

The Meteorology Department said that the turbulence which is prevailing in the Bay of Bengal is likely to continue for the next 48 hours.

Therefore, the Department predicted that the rains will continue for the next 2 days as well.

It is also reported that Kalu, Gin, and Nilwala rivers have reached spill-over level.

The Disaster Management Centre said few areas in Matara, Ratnapura, and Galle districts have been flooded due to incessant rains.
