Police expand investigation into 3 missing young women from Kolonnawa

Police have decided to expand its investigations into the incident of missing three young women.

They are residents of Kolonnawa and Police said they have gone missing in Grandpass area, after they left homes to buy clothes.

19-year-old Malki Wathsala Perera, who is a mother of one child, has called his husband twice and Police are probing the 2 phone calls received by him from her.

The Police teams from Wellampitiya and Grandpass are investigating the incident and they have obtained a court order to check the mobile phone details.

Police have also checked the CCTV footage obtained from Horana and Anuradhapura areas after information alleged that the missing girls are in those areas.

Along with Wathsala, 15-year-old Yasanthi Madushani Perera and 14-year-old Sharitha Sweatha are reported missing from Saturday (14).
