The 5 persons arrested in connection with the disappearance of 2 girls and a 19-year-old mother of a child from Salamulla in Kolonnawa have been remanded until 1st of November.

The 19-year-old woman, who was also reported missing, was amongst the remanded persons.

Colombo Additional Magistrate D.M. Weligodapitiya ordered to keep the 15-year-old and 14-year-old girls under probation.

The 5 persons now on remand are the woman who brought the 14-year-old girl to police, the 19-year-old mother, the lover of the 15-year-old girl, the man who trafficked the 14-year-old girl to be employed as a domestic servant and the 84-year-old woman who employed the under-aged girl.
