14-year-old schoolboy reported missing in Wariyapola

Police have received a complaint that a 14-year-old schoolboy has been reported missing in Padeniya, Wariyapola.

The missing boy, Athula Senaratne is a Grade 10 student at Sri Sunanda Maha Vidyalaya in Padeniya.

The parents say their child did not come home since 14th of this month.

After returning home from school on that day, he had left the home saying that he would be going to his Grand Mother's home, which is just 100 m away from their home.

However, a neighbour had said that he saw the boy getting into a bus heading towards Nikawaratiya.

The boy had also collected a trouser from a friend who is a neighbour.

Athula, the missing schoolboy, has two sisters and one younger brother.

The younger brother had said that his brother left the home saying that he is going to the paddy field to catch peacocks. 

Wariyapola police investigate the incident.
