Professor Chandana Jayarathna of the Department of Physics of the University of Colombo stated that the teams were deployed to confirm that this is, in fact, a piece of the meteor.

In addition, several representatives of the Arthur C Clarke Center too will be conducting an investigation on this meteorite found.

Our correspondents stated that police protection was provided to the house in which the meteorite was found.

The owner of the house stated that they heard an object falling on their roof on the night of the incident and stated that he found the meteorite, which is about one and a half inches in size, today (21).
