Ranjan Ramanayake summoned to Supreme Court again

The Supreme Court today (25) issued notice again on Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake, ordering him to re-appear before the Court on 21st of November over a case on alleged Contempt of Court.

The petition against him in this connection was taken before Justice Buwaneka Aluvihare and Justice Anil Gunaratne.

The petition against the Deputy Minister Ramanayake has been filed by General Secretary of Sinhala Ravaya, Magalkande Sudaththa Thera and retired Air Force personnel, Sunil Perera.

 Although Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake appeared before Court today, he said that he did not receive notice issued by the Court on 12th of October.

Later, he was ordered to appear before Court on 21st of November.
