A Delhi-bound Jet Airways flight from Mumbai was this morning (30) diverted to Ahmedabad airport for "security reasons".

According to security agencies, a hijack note was found in the toilet.

The note reportedly said:
The aircraft is covered by hijackers, should not land in Delhi, and should be flown straight to PoK.

The flight 9W339, which took off from Mumbai at 2:55 am, landed at Ahmedabad airport at around 3:45 am.

All the passengers were asked to deplane and were screened. Jet Airways later released a statement saying they were “not in a position to comment further at this stage”.
