SLFP to discuss Local government elections

SLFP+to+discuss+Local+government+elections
The Sri Lanka Freedom Party is to hold a decisive discussion regarding the upcoming local government elections today (03).

The meeting will take place under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena at the President's official residence.

The SLFP General Secretary Minister Duminda Dissanayake noted that MPs representing the Joint Opposition have also been invited to the discussion.

Meanwhile, a letter signed by 42 MPs representing the joint Opposition including former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, was sent to the General Secretary of the SLFP, Minister Duminda Dissanayake yesterday (02).

This was in response to the letter issued by the SLFP regarding the discussions on the Local Government elections.

In the letter, the JO had put forward 7 conditions in order to move forward together.
