We are living in a highly commercialized and a competitive society.

Because of that, the day to day life has become highly engaged.

Parents forget their true commitments to their children and children when they grow up neglect their commitments to parents.

In such an environment, we met an extraordinary youth in Dambulla.

He is Sandun Dissanayake, a 22-year-old youth.

His mother is bed-ridden and she cannot do anything for herself.

Sandun has sacrificed his life to look after his mother.

When other youths are dreaming of high-paid jobs, luxury cars, and other perks, Sandun's dream is to see her mother walking one day.

His mother is 52-year-old, Erandi Manamendra and she has an ailment in her backbone and one of her hands is also immovable.

She had been treated at Anuradhapura Hospital for a long period and now she is confined to bed.

Sandun's was passed away 2 years ago due to a heart attack.

Because of that Sandun now stays at home to look after his mother.

He does cooking, washing, feeding of his mother and cleaning.

Sandun firmly believes he could be able to recover his mother one day.

If you can help him to achieve his dream, truly it would be a great help.
