Petrol crisis: Ministerial sub-committee report presented to President

Minister of Petroleum Resources Development, Arjuna Ranatunga says the Ministerial sub-committee report on the recent fuel crisis was presented to President Maithripala Sirisena.
 
The Committee of Dr. Sarath Amunugama, Patali Champika Ranawaka, and Anura Priyadharshana Yapa.
 
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Petroleum Resources Development has initiated an investigation to ascertain whether there is a racket to mix kerosene with petrol.
 
The investigation has been launched following the recent petrol shortage that arose in the island.
 
The Ministry Secretary Upali Marasinghe told our news team that the investigation was initiated as reports surfaced of alleged fuel adulteration racket in Dambulla.
 
Meanwhile, another oil tanker arrived in the island yesterday (13), carrying 38,000MT of petrol.
