General Amnesty for army deserters extended up to Nov. 22

Sri Lanka defence authorities have decided to extend the General Amnesty period given to army deserters in order to obtain legal discharge up to 22nd of this month.

Military Spokesperson Brig. Roshan Seneviratne said so far 8,052 army men have made requests to obtain the legal discharge from the service.
