Court of Appeal has issued a stay order on the 'almanacs case' involving former Minister Basil Rajapaksa which was to be taken up for hearing today (24).

Rajapaksa earlier filed a petition at the Court of Appeal urging the court not to hear this case before High Court Judge Gihan Kulatunga.

In this case, former Minister Basil Rajapaksa is accused of misappropriating Rs.29 million from Divi Neguma to print 5 million almanacs.
