Another special discussion between the SLFP and the Joint Opposition is scheduled to take place on Tuesday.

A discussion was held yesterday as well between committee members appointed by the respective factions.

Yesterday’s discussion has been mainly focused on contesting the forthcoming election jointly and this matter is expected to be discussed extensively on Tuesday, at the next meeting.

Proposals submitted by both camps were taken up for discussion yesterday.

C B Rathnayaka, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana and Pavithra Wanniarachchi represented the Joint Opposition while Ministers Nimal Siripala De Silva, Susil Premajayantha and Deputy Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna represented the SLFP.

Meanwhile, Minister P Harrison says that there is no issue within the two main political parties.

The Minister addressing an event in Kalaa Wewa yesterday said that allegations with regard to appointing the Bond Commission were baseless.

Meanwhile, Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said that irrespective of allegations made by the Opposition, the Government is fulfilling the needs of the public.
