200 Army personnel to be sent to Mali for UN Mission

A 200-strong team from the Sri Lanka Army is set to leave for another UN Peace Keeping Mission in Mali.

The contingent includes military personnel from 10 regiments.

They will be in Mali for one year.

So far SLA has deployed 19,000 troops for UN assignments.
