The testifying of the witness in the case against former UNP General Secretary, Tissa Attanayake for allegedly preparing forged documents was postponed until 26th of February 2018.

The case was postponed as the first and the second witnesses did not appear in court today (04).

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and President Maithripala Sirisena have been named as the 1st and the 2nd witnesses respectively of this case.

The court was informed that the President and Prime Minister are scheduled to attend parliamentary sessions and Additional Solicitor General Wasantha Navaratne Bandara sought for another date for them to appear in court.

Then High Court Judge Vikum Kaluarachchi postponed the case and issued notice on the witnesses to appear in court on the next hearing day.

The Judge also ordered the CID Director to relevant CD to be presented to the court at the next hearing.

Meanwhile, the Judge also gave permission to Tissa Attanayake to go abroad from 10th to 31st of this month.
