Deputy Minister urges railway workers to report to work

Deputy Minister of Transport, Ashok Abeysinghe is urging the railway workers to report back to work considering the GCE (O/L) exam which will commence on Tuesday.

He also reminded since the railway service was declared as an essential service, those who do not report to work during the next 24 hours will lose their jobs.

However, the striking unions say that they would continue their strike action until solutions are given.
