Two persons were killed in wild elephant attacks in North Central Province during the last 24 hours.
 
In Galgamuwa, a 53-year-old person who had tried to chase away a wild elephant was attacked and killed.
 
The relatives said that the elephant was roaming nearby the victim's home.
 
Meanwhile, this morning (20) in Ikiliwewa, Polonnaruwa a wild elephant attacked and killed a 68-year-old person.
 
He was attacked by a wild elephant when he was on his way to Polonnaruwa Hospital with his wife.
