The Government Medical Officers' Association says that it will launch an island-wide strike after 10th of January based on several issues including failure to revise additional duty allowance.

Addressing a media conference in Colombo today (26), the GMOA’s Secretary, Dr. Haritha Aluthge said that authorities have failed to respond to their demands positively even after conveying them the issues on several occasions.

Meanwhile, Postal Workers Trade Union Federation says that it has decided to launch a strike from tomorrow (27).
