Wildlife officials say that a trap will be set inside a protective cage to capture the leopard that has attacked 7 workers in a tea estate in Dickoya, Hatton.

Our correspondent said despite an intensive search operation was underway, the leopard could not be located.

Under the guidance of the veterinarian in Udawalawa, Dr. Vijitha Perera, the wildlife officials, personnel of Hatton Police and estate workers started the search operation yesterday (Jan. 02).

A tense situation also prevailed at the estate after workers showed their anger at the officials for their failure to capture the beast.
