Met Department says that a slight change in the prevailing dry weather is expected from tomorrow (Jan. 09) particularly in the Northern Province.
 
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Northern Province and Trincomalee district, fairly heavy falls about 75 mm can be expected at some places.
 
Several spells of showers will occur in, North-central and Uva provinces and Matale, Batticaloa, Amparai and Hambantota districts.
 
Showers or thundershowers could occur at few places elsewhere after 2 pm.
 
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.
 
The Met Department also urged the public to be vigilant as lightning could prevail frequently.
