JVP and JO demand tabling of Bond report in Parliament

Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna urges that the Bond Commission report should be presented in Parliament tomorrow (Jan. 10) and the debate on the report should be held on a separate day.
 
The JVP Propaganda Secretary, MP, Vijitha Herath said that his party’s proposal will be presented at the political party leaders’ meeting today.
 
A special party leaders’ meeting will be presided by speaker Karu Jayasuriya at 2 pm today at the Parliamentary Complex.
 
At this meeting, the agenda for tomorrow’s debate will be decided upon.
 
The General Secretary of the Pivituru Hela Urumaya, MP Udaya Gammanpila said that the Joint Opposition has raised its objection to the decision to hold a debate without making the Bond Commission report available to parliamentarians.
 
Meanwhile, Minister Mano Ganesan said that in addition to the Bond Commission report, the 34 reports on massive fraud and corruption released by the Presidential Commission should also be presented at the political party leaders’ meeting.
