The ninth suspect accused of having links to the alleged abduction and disappearance of 11 youths in the 2008-09 period has been remanded today (Jan. 16).
 
The suspect arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department was a former intelligence officer attached to the Trincomalee Navy Camp.
 
He was produced before Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne and was remanded until 25th of January.
 
Meanwhile, six persons including the former Navy Spokesperson D. K. P. Dassanayake was released on bail on 12th of this month.
