Lalith Weeratunga seeks permission to go abroad

The former Presidential Secretary Lalith Weeratunga has requested permission from courts to go abroad.
 
When it was taken up before Colombo High Court Judge Gihan Kulatunga, the Judge said an order in that regard will be delivered on 29th of this month.
 
Weeratunga has informed the court that he serves as an external lecturer of the Post Graduate Institute of Sri Jayewardenepura University and he has been invited to deliver a speech at an event organized by the institute in Doha Qatar.
 
He has also informed that he needed to visit Australia for a personal matter.
 
Weeratunga is an accused in the 'Sil cloth case' and his passport is in judicial custody.
