The Election Commission has requested that voters to contact the Commission if they find the national identity card number on the official ballot card is not correct.

Commission Chairman, Mahinda Deshapriya said that the area Gramaseva Officer or District Returning Officer could be contacted by phone to correct such errors.

Meanwhile, the National Child Protection Authority is requesting the political parties and independent groups to refrain from having children participate in political activities.

The Authority made this request after it received several complaints since the announcement of the LG poll date.

The National Child Protection Authority Chairperson, Attorney-at-law Marini de Livera requested the public to inform them of such incidents, by contacting them through the hotline: 1929.
