Uva Chief Minister Chamara Sampath Dassanayake was recently accused of forcing the principal of Badulla Tamil Girl's School to kneel before him.

Now he's accused of another case.

Here, he is attempting to assault a Buddist monk after threatening him.

The video footage of the incident is now being circulated in the social media.

A few months ago, representatives from the Unemployed Graduates Association had visited the Provincial Council premises to meet Dassanayake.

When they were having a discussion with the Chief Minister, he had attempted to assault Venerable Thanne Ghanananda Thera, who was the convener of the association.

When contacted, the Thera confirmed the incident.

However, the CM said it was a very remote incident and he didn't attempt to assault the Thera.
