With the release of February 10th Local Government election result, the political atmosphere within the country is getting tensed.

Of the 340 LG authorities, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna bagged 239 institutions while United National Party could take only 42 authorities.

Ilankai Thamil Arasu Katchi secured 38 LG bodies while the United People's Freedom Alliance which included Sri Lanka Freedom Party managed to bag only 7 authorities.

With this election result, the post of Prime Minister has become the talking point.

The Joint Opposition said that Ranil Wickremesinghe should resign from the PM post.

Thereafter, the stakeholders of the United National Front as well as the United National Party held several rounds of discussions.

Following those discussions, they have decided to form a government of their own.

And they said if want, the SLFP could detach from the government.

Under these circumstances, the United People's Freedom Alliance, headed by the SLFP said that a parliamentarian who could muster the majority in the House should be appointed as PM to form a government.

We decided to talk to the public to get their views as to whether the Prime Minister should stay or should resign?
