Colombo Fort Magistrate has rejected bail applications moved by the counsels appeared for the owner of Perpetual Treasuries owner Arjun Aloysius and its CEO Kasun Palisena today (Feb. 16).

The Magistrate further remanded them until 2nd of March.

Meanwhile, former Central Bank governor Arjuna Mahendran who was earlier ordered to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department on or before 15th of February was ordered to appear before the CID before 8th of March.

Mahendran did not respond to the court’s order and he’s reportedly in Singapore.

Mahendran, Aloysius and Palisena are cited as suspects in Central Bank bond scam.
