Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says that the present Unity Government will continue without any change.
 
Making a special statement, the PM also said that the party will accept the warning from the masses which came through the recent election.
 
He also accepted that the bond scam also impacted the election result.
 
The Prime Minister added that the masses would have become agitated thinking that the government is taking action against those who are accused of fraud and corruption.
 
He said that necessary steps would be taken in due course and he pointed out that it was not a simple process and that’s why those cases got delayed.
 
When asked about the ongoing confusion about the Prime Ministerial post, the PM said that he has been told of the opinion of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and he had also spoken to the President.
 
He said he would continue as the PM in accordance with the constitution.
 
The Prime Minister also said he decided to cancel a planned visit to India as a result of the prevailing political situation in the country.

He also said that there's a discussion for a cabinet reshuffle.
