CPSTL workers win salary hike, strike suspended

The strike action which was to be launched by the employees of Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminal Limited has been suspended.
 
They were to strike demanding the salary hike, which is given to the employees of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation employees, once in three years
 
The Convener of the Trade Union Alliance of the CPC, D. J. Rajakaruna said that the management agreed to their demand during a meeting and then they decided to suspend the strike action.
 
Accordingly, the employees of the CPSTL will also get a salary hike this year, Rajakaruna said.
