Arjun Aloysius and Kasun Palisena further remanded...

Owner of Perpetual Treasuries Limited, Arjun Aloysius and its CEO Kasun Palisena have been further remanded until 15th of March.

They were produced before Colombo Fort Magistrate this morning (Mar. 02).

Aloysius and Palisena were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department on 4th of February as they have been mentioned as suspects in the Central Bank bond scam.

The first accused in the scam, former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran has evaded arrest and it was reported he is not available even at his Singapore address.

Meanwhile, the Attorney General is planning to take action against Mahendran through Interpol if he chooses to disregard the notice issued against him.

The Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne issued the notice on Mahendran to report to the CID and record a statement before 15th of February.
