UNF scheduled to hold two decisive discussions

A special UNP Working Committee meeting will be held today (Mar. 29) to discuss the 'no-confidence motion' put forward against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

MP Kavinda Jayawardena told our news team that the Working Committee meeting would begin at 9 this morning at Sirikotha party headquarters.

It is anticipated that detailed discussions will take place regarding party reorganization.

Meanwhile, a decisive discussion is also scheduled to be held between Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and UNF leaders later today.

Attention will be drawn to the current political situation at this discussion scheduled to be held at 4 pm at  Temple Trees.

A discussion on the current political situation was held between among UNF leaders at Suvasiripaya recently where the UNF leaders decided to request the PM to step down.

Ministers Rajitha Senarathna, Patali Champika Ranawaka, Sarath Fonseka, Arjuna Ranatunga, Rauff Hakeem, Palani Digambaran, Mano Ganesan, Deputy Minister Karunarathna Paranavithana and MPs Venerable Athuruliye Rathana Thera and Chatura Senarathna had participated in the meeting.

Responding to a query by our news team, leader of the Tamil Progressive Alliance Mano Ganesan said that the Prime Minister would be informed today (Mar. 29) regarding the decisions taken at that meeting.
