The Sri Lanka Freedom Party says that it will announce a decision in line with the public opinion, on the 'no-confidence motion' against the Prime Minister, tomorrow (Apr. 02).

Minister Chandima Weerakkody said that the SLFP, as a people-friendly party, is unable to oppose the facts presented in the 'no-confidence motion'.

The United National Party said that the 'no-confidence motion' has been brought at a time when a new programme is being mooted to address the issues of the masses following the results of the Local Government election.

State Minister, Ajith P. Perera made this remark addressing a media briefing held at the Sirikotha Party headquarters this morning.

The Joint Opposition is scheduled to convene a meeting on Tuesday (Apr 03) to discuss the future political situation of the country after the vote-taking on the 'no-confidence motion' is finalized.

Parliamentarian Bandula Gunawardane speaking at a media briefing held in Colombo today said that all the leaders in the Joint Opposition will be taking part in the discussion.

The final decisions of the Tamil National Alliance, Muslim Congress and the Tamil Progressive Alliance led by Minister Mano Ganesan, are scheduled to be announced within the next 48 hours.
