SLFP Ministers who voted for NCM write to President

The Ministers, Deputy Ministers and State Ministers of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party who had voted for the 'no-confidence motion' moved against the Prime Minister have requested the President to allow them to quit their posts and serve the party.
 
They have made the request in a letter addressed to the President.
 
Minister S. B. Dissanayake said they would act in accordance with the decision that would be made by the President.

122 voted against it while only 76 voted in favour of the motion.

SLFP Ministers Dayasiri Jayasekara, S.B. Dissanayake, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Chandima Weerakkody, Susil Premajayantha, W.D.J. Senevirathna and state ministers Dilan Perera and T.B. Ekanayake voted in favour of the no-confidence motion.

Deputy Ministers, Sudarshani Fernandopulle, Anuradha Jayarathna, Sumedha G. Jayasena, Susantha Punchinilame, Tharanath Basnayake are among those who voted for the NCM.
