Government announces the date of implementing revised traffic fines.

The National Council for Road Safety said it has been decided to implement the revised traffic fines after the New Year.
 
The Chairman of the National Council for Road Safety, Dr. Sisira Kodagoda said that traffic fines relating to 33 road rule violations have been revised.
 
Accordingly, the fine of Rs. 25,000 has been revised to Rs. 6,000 and Rs. 3,000.
 
Dr. Kodagoda also said that meters will be mandatory for three-wheelers from 1st of May.
