Should move ahead rectifying mistakes, says President

President Maithripala Sirisena says the masses put the responsibility on this government to rectify the mistakes committed by the previous regime and to build a proper country.
 
The President made these comments at the 25th death anniversary of President Ranasinghe Premadasa in Colombo today (May 01).
 
A large number of dignitaries including Maha Sangha, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya and several Ministers and parliamentarians.
 
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that the government would act with a new Cabinet fully understanding the message given by the people in February election.
 
Addressing the event, Minister Sajith Premadasa said those who have the backing of the masses could move forward whatever the obstructions they are encountered with.
