Joint+Opposition+seeks+a+debate+on+disaster+situation
The Joint opposition has requested the Speaker to cancel the scheduled Parliament debate today (May 22), and hold a special debate regarding the current disaster situation.
 
When we contacted, the JO Parliamentary Group leader MP Dinesh Gunawardena disclosed this.
 
Meanwhile the leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna, MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake said that the proposed 20th amendment to the constitution will be handed over to the Parliament on another date.
