State Minister Vijayakalaa Maheshwaran met with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees yesterday (Jul 04).

Our correspondent who was present at Temple Trees at the time of the meeting said the State Minister left the premises via an alternative route to avoid the media.
 
A potentially tense situation was created in the country in response to the statement made by her that the LTTE should be resurrected.
 
Making a special statement in Parliament yesterday, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that there was no change in the government’s stance regarding protecting unity in the country.
 
Prime Minister said that State Minister Vijayakalaa Maheshwaran would be summoned get clarifications about her statement and the party has already decided to take actions against her.
