The owner of Perpetual Treasuries Limited Arjun Aloysius and its CEO Kasun Palisena were further remanded until 19th of July by the Fort Magistrate.

The case on Central Bank bond scam was taken up before Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne today (Jul 05).

The Magistrate also rules that Arjun Aloysius's father and eight other Directors of Perpetual Treasuries Limited are banned from traveling overseas without court's permission.
 
Making submissions on the progress of the probe, the Attorney General’s Department informed that W. M. Mendis Co. had given an Rs. 5 million cheque to the Chief Financial Officer of a company owned by former Minister Ravi Karunanayake.
 
Meanwhile, the AG's Department also informed the courts that three phones and five SIM cards found in the prison ward of Arjun Aloysius.
 
It was also revealed that the authorities have found a phone under his mattress.

Meanwhile, the Monetary Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, acting in terms of the Regulations made under the Registered Stock and Securities Ordinance and the Local Treasury Bills Ordinance, has decided to extend the suspension of Perpetual Treasuries Limited from carrying on the business and activities of a Primary Dealer for a period of six months.

The suspension is effective from today (Jul 05), in order to continue the investigations being conducted by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
