National Audit Bill passed with amendments

The National Audit Bill was passed in Parliament with amendments today (Jul 05).

Chief Government Whip Minister Gayantha Karunatilleke presented the draft in Parliament on 3rd of April.

Powers and functions of the National Audit Commission and the provisions for setting up of the national audit Office as well as the Sri Lanka State Audit Service are included in the bill.

Meanwhile, addressing the House, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said the government opted to discuss the operations of the Mattala International Airport with India as China does not show positive interest about it.
