Sri Lanka Army has decided to deny entry to camps for those who act in a manner that disrupts the reconciliation process.

The Army said that they have decided not to take part in or to assist or sponsor any ceremony that such persons will be participating in.

Certain politicians, retired Army officials as well as civil activists criticizing the reconciliation process carried out by the government and the Army has been highlighted as the main reason behind this.

Pointing out that some make speeches admiring the activities of terrorists, in a manner that diminishes the faith the peace-loving people in the North and the East have, the Army emphasizes that they have observed such activities to stir the germs of war in the people once again.

The Army further highlights that they are making a very significant contribution to the reconciliation mechanism and that they have also managed to provide solutions to many grave issues faced by the people in the North and the East.
